So today was fun. After doing all of my homework and cramming like a "mad yoke" for my Spanish orals, I've thought about a few things.
I've always been told by teachers to do hard homework in subjects you dislike before doing the subjects you enjoy. Certainly this holds some sort of value in that you won't be doing taxing things while you're tired - although there is another side to this that nobody ever seems to mention.
I find it very easy to lose concentration and constantly spend time daydreaming (or writing blog posts) while I should be working. I've examined this in detail and it generally always happens right before I have to do tons of work. I'm a huge procrastinator and can find a multitude of distractions to keep me from my English essay or long-winded geography question (*yawn*). Because of this, it can sometimes take me a while to get to the good stuff and I can't help but feel it would be more beneficial to do easy things first, get in to a good workflow and then accomplish tasks that I've been secretly dreading.
Anyway, things should get better next year when I get to choose only the subjects I like. Of course, I'll be forced to keep on some snooze-inducers like Irish, but at least I won't be stuck with geography.
